as many are aware, there was a huge rush to buy and sell pre-approved labors during july-august 2007, when all the priority dates were suddenly made current. Tens of thousands of labors were sold by fraudulent consulting companies to many questionable gc seekers, who hadn�t even started the process till then.
It is those substituted labors which are clogging the pipelines now. Just think, last month eb3-i stood at november 2001. Now it is completely unavailable. It can�t possibly be because so many pending labors with such old priority dates suddenly got cleared this month, and beneficiary of these labors filed 140+485 together. I seriously doubt that a candidate whose labor is pending since such a long time is even keeping that gc process alive. In all likelihood he/she must have moved on in life.
There is only one explanation. These labors were already pre-approved. It is the attached i-140 on these labors that are getting approved rapidly. And the subsequent i-485 petitions on these applications are depleting the visa numbers.

please refer the dates before posting such useless information. very ashamed to see some donors do this kind of mistake. unnecessarily misguiding the people. for a moment i lost hope. if this time, the uscis (after all the preadjudication numbers and all) makes this kind of stupid mistake then the USCIS should be ashamed of its existence and DHS should shove its head in some uselss thing.

-- Grass root & state level efforts work only when there are a lot of grass root workers. For example independence struggle in india worked due to grass root efforts. But please try to understand that things are different here --- by definition, we are immigrants, our numbers are limited in this country.
Simply put, groups working in isolated corners of the country are having no effect on the politicians, because each area has only a few people and the politicians are not seeing the combined effect.
"Grass root efforts" may sound very trendy, but are actually leading us no where............yes we need it......but at the same time IV has to have a strong leadership who can show their strenght by doing phone / lettere campaigns.

Now, instead of getting her into trouble you have to get yourself out of trouble first.
Find a cool way to send her out.
You will be in trouble anytime in future if she proves that you have employed her illegally in the past.
Going a bit tough here, sorry for that.
1. You both are in H1B (assuming you must know laws behind H1B)
2. Able to find someone inexpensive who can take care of your valuable baby
3. Powerful knowledge in technology to setup a secret camera to capture what she does the whole day
4. Collect all evidences and planning to penalize her

Anytime in future, if she is caught(chances are more as she is clearly not aware of the laws here and how serious is beating a child, if not in your place some other place), expect query from INS/IRS. This is a different country.

My problem is different, its not with the passport, it is with the 485 and G 325 forms where last name first name got interchanged for my wife. It was a hectic week for me and when my attorney send all the finished forms, I only noticed 3 forms that were wrong and got them corrected. I over looked the 485, G325A form and now that everything is filed and have gotten the FP notice, do not know how to correct them.

I had the exact same question. If one responds to an RFE on his/her I-485 app, is there no place on the online status description where we can find the original receipt date?
Also, can one assume that his/her case has is pre-adjudicated, if there are no further requests from USCIS after an RFE reponse from the applicant?

On the same note I have a question for the Gurus.
My name is reversed ( first name and last name interchanged) on my SSN and hence on my credit cards, employment letters etc though my name is correct on my passport , H1 , I-797 and on files AOS.. etc.
Will this pose a problem in the name check process?
My attorney said I should change my name with SSN after EAD/AP arrives.
Let me know ur opinions.

If it is just a name change from maiden to married (i.e. change in surname) you don't need a court order. All you need is your marriage certificate and a notarized affidavit to change the name on the passport.

I just spoke to Indian consulate, NYC. The procedure to correct the last name is very simple. All you need is an Affidavit from the person (Signed in US, saying that you are correcting your name.), 4 photos and a copy of 797 or Visa. No need of advertizements, or Indian affidavit.
Please note, this is applicable only if,
In your passport Surname is Blank
Given name has <first name><last Name> (and all spelling etc are correct)
and you want it to be corrected to
Surname <last Name>
Given Name <First Name>
They will issue a new booklet with corrected name. It's same day service in NYC.
Sent you a PM, can you reply back.
Please note, this is applicable only if,
